In addition to those three colors, AKC also recognizes several other colors including the black tricolor, but only as variations of the accepted color. In other words, any dog that is brindle with black markings on its back will be considered a brindle tricolor with black markings.
The black tricolor is a French Bulldog color variety. Black tricolor Frenchies have the same body pattern as pied, but their brindle stripes are replaced by black patches.
The French Bulldog breed standard says that black tricolors can have white markings on the face, chest, and feet. Typically, they also have a small amount of white on the tip of their tail.
A black tricolor Frenchie may have green or hazel eyes, depending on the intensity of the pigment. Some black tricolor French Bulldogs have darker brown eyes.
White tri colored french bulldog
These dogs are often referred to as “white tri” or “white tri.” They have white coats with either tan or red markings.

A grooming comb can also be used occasionally to de-tangle any mats or tangles that might have formed in your pet’s coat.
Even though these dogs have short hair, they still require regular baths in order to keep their skin soft and supple.
However, bathing them too often can strip away natural oils from the skin which leads to dryness and flaking. It is best to give your pet a bath once every two weeks using a mild shampoo designed specifically for dogs with sensitive skin.
Why are Tri colored French Bulldogs so expensive?
The reason why tri colored Frenchies are so expensive is that they are rare. French bulldogs come in many different colors but only a few of them have the tri color coat.
You can find black and white, brown and white, and even brindle French bulldogs but it is very hard to find a tri colored French bulldog.
Many people believe that these dogs are not real French bulldogs but they are wrong because these dogs come from France where they were bred by the same people who bred normal-colored French Bulldogs in the past centuries.
